This highly interactive Positive Thinking workshop will help you to better understand the power of positive thinking. The workshop explores what positive thinking is, analyses its benefits and traps, as well as barriers to change.

It also identifies the essential components to develop the skill of positive thinking in a way that is effective. Using experiential learning methodology, visualization techniques and action planning, the workshop’s facilitator will guide you through a reflective self-discovery. You will explore practical tips for applying positive thinking in your own life and have an opportunity to create a personal action plan.

Aims of the workshop:

  • Provide the participants with a better understanding of what is positive thinking, how it impacts and how to develop it
  • Enable a greater self-awareness
  • Equip the participants in effective techniques for changing attitudes
  • Support well-being 

Course Content:

The course is divided into 3 main parts:

  1. What is positive thinking made of?
  2. Why is positive thinking the key to a successful life?
  3. How to develop the skill of positive thinking?

The first part explores how we define Positive Thinking, what is it made of and how it differs from Positive Psychology.

The second part explains the importance and the traps of positive thinking in relation to our well-being and success. It links positive thinking and positive psychology to mental health, life satisfaction and the achievement of our goals. It also identifies barriers to developing positive thinking.

The third part provides practical tips and ways to develop the skill of positive thinking. It introduces ‘The Power of Positive Thoughts’ concept and a visualisation technique. It enables participants to set their own goals and establish an action plan.

Course outcome:

At the end of this course, you would be able to:

  • Explain what is positive thinking and positive psychology
  • Describe the benefits and the traps of positive thinking and their impact on your life
  • Define barriers to positive thinking and change of attitude
  • Better understand the concept of ‘Positive Thought’
  • Recommend ways to challenge attitudes and enhance positive thinking to achieve goals
  • Create your own Positive Change Plan
